Hi/Lo Switch on Class III

Has anybody had a problem with the Hi/Lo switch on the right hand console? Mine abruptly quit working yesterday morning. I could still shift with the buttons on the joystick but the rocker switch quit working. The light showed Lo even when I shifted to Hi with the buttons. However, yesterday afternoon the switch started working again. I plan on checking the wires underneath when the temperature is a little more forgiving.

Not had any trouble but u could have gotten a
drop of moisture and it froze or switch just stuck
in cold.
Had mine out plowing 8" of snow and cut a load of wood
Sunday (10*), didn't have any trouble.

How ironic you posted this message today. My TC40D did the exact thing on Sunday. The joy stick mounted switch works fine. I called my dealer yesterday (Monday) and he said he has not had any other tractors with the same problem but thought it was probably a bad switch and ordered me a new one. He said it would be covered under the warranty and he would install it later today or early tomorrow.

Same happened to my 45D. Check under the deck area on brake side of tractor. My guess is you'll find a connector which has come apart .

I'm a little embarrassed. I posted on a couple of days ago that my TC40D had misbehaved the same way on Sunday with the fender mounted hi-low switch not working. I called my dealer and he ordered me a new switch. On Wednesday he came out to install the switch and found the connector under the fender deck was just a little loose. I offered to purchase the switch anyway since I probably should have checked the connection first. He declined saying that it might be good to have one in stock anyway. There was no charge for the service call either (I'm about 8 miles away). These guys no the meaning of "customer service."
