Kubota Diesel G5200
Hi, I just wanted to introduce my self I'm new to this forum. My name is Robert and I live in Spring, Texas which is located in the Northwest part of Houston, Texas. The reason I joined is because I recently purchased a Kubota G5200. I know nothing about the unit yet, except that the D600 runs strong
and the over all condition of the tractor is about a solid 7 out of 10. The mowing deck has seen better days and I will need to grind and wield in some really nice size hole. The deck I would rate at about 4.8, which to me basically means border line salvageable. I didn't pay much for the unit so I don't mind spending a little to have the deck repaired.

First thing I need to do is change the engine oil and maybe the glow plugs. Does anyone know or can suggest a type of oil to use in this little 3-cylinder Diesel? Also, If you know what the part number is for the oil filter that would be great! Thanks !

Hi Robert. Welcome to the forum and congrats on your Kubota!

I'm going to move your thread over to the Kubota section to see if we can find you some answers.

Hi. Welcome.
I use Rotella T6 in my BX. Works great and starts easy in winter too. Engine runs real quite.
I do not have the filter number but you can find that at Messick's website.
Good luck with the project to get it up and running the way you want.

You can't go wrong with Rotella T6 engine oil...
Why do you suspect a glow plug problem, they are just resistant Heaters used Only for starting. KennyV

Yup- Rotella T-6 synthetic oil. Easy to get a any Walmart, reasonable priced- what else could you want?

Welcome aboard, Robert!
The G5200 is one tough bug. I'm patching holes in my RC44 deck this weekend. Lots of daylight coming thru.

Engine oil (per the operator manual): 3.2 qts (CC,CD, E or F)
Above 59 [deg F] = SAE 30 or 10W-30
Below 59 [deg F] = SAE 10W-30

Oil Filter: HH152-32432 (replaces 15841-3243-1)

Unless you know that these items have recently been serviced, I'd also replace:
Fuel filters (one on or near the engine & one behind the right rear tire)
HST oil & filter & clean the screen.
Mower deck GBX oil (90W).

Radiator fluid & give it a good flush.
This is important, as these Gx200H models are prone to overheating!
Pull the radiator screen & clear it before & after every time you mow.
Make sure the temperature gauge is working correctly.
There should be a steam whistle attached to the coolant overflow hose - check that it works.

Enjoy your wee beastie - it's a great machine!
-Jim
