would be very grateful if some one could help me with technical problem on my 2008 massey ferguson 5460 tractor starts ok runs for few mins stops

hi ken have 2008 massey ferguson 5460 starts ok runs few mins then stops could it be diesel issue like air in system or diesel tank breather or electrical problem. your help would be much appreciated. thanks..

Check air intake, make sure not clogged (mice love these).
If you take off tank filler cap, do you here air escaping like it's pressurized?
Check any fuel cutoff to make sure it's fully open.
Also check the seat switch to make sure it's connected and working.
Does it die while just sitting there idling with no one on it?

hi ken thanks for your help will do your checks tomorrow. i come from ireland out in country and i have no access to software for 5460. ken it idles ok for min or two then dies does it have stop sensor under seat? will let you know tomorrow how i got on with checks thanks again..

hi hello everyone......

hi ken did your checks today and changed all fuel filters and air filter one of fuel filters is square it sits in housing with glass bowl under. took glass bowl off cleaned all run tractor for 0ne hour no problems all good for now ken.only thing i see very little little bubbles in glass bowl when i shine my flashlight against bowl i will know tomorrow when i do some work thanks again ken. no mice in the air filter......
