Got a quote of 26k total cash price for 5035 4wd HST with FEL and 6ft Kodiak Box Blade.

This price seem reasonable, and the same dealer quoted me 22k total cash for same setup in the 4035 (4wd HST)

A: are these both good prices?
B: is there 4k difference in machines?

I've really enjoyed your site, and appreciate your wealth of info!

Sounds reasonable to me. Mahindra is rumored to be raising prices soon due to the exchange rate between us 'printers of money' here in the states and their home in India. Plus, iron prices have been going up for quite a time. If you live a ways from one of their three assembly places here in the states [California, Texas, Tennessee], then those prices are REAL good. Shipping anything these days is going ballistic. Good luck, Jerry.

The 5035 is quite a bit more tractor than the 4035, so I'm thinking that the price difference is probably right. Have you sat on both machines? The 5035 is quite a beast. ;) Good luck with your decision, pretty hard to go wrong with a Mahindra IMO.

Sounds good to me. I was quoted 28,000 last year for the same tractor with shuttle shift and no box blade. I agree that the 5035 is quite a bit more tractor than the 4035, but the upgrade decision depends on what you need it for. The 5035 has a bigger loader, more weight, and a 4 cylinder engine. The upgrade would be worth it to me.

thank you guys, I decided that the 5035 was a great tractor, but simply too big to maneuver in the tight wooded area I need to work in...with a Loader, turning around without clearing far too many trees is impossible in this size...

I am still looking for the right size/fit.. thanks for your help

Maybe a 3616 if size is a problem, a very capable machine and what I would probably get if I didn't already have a 3215. ;)

I live on heavily wooded property and went with the 5035. The large front tires allow you to inch over fallen debris that smaller tires would just try to push around. The HST tames it down in close places and helps you manuver. It is a big heavy powerfull tractor, but heh, that's what I like about it.... :)
