Howdy-
Been lurking for a while and finally signed up. Just what I need- another forum.
I live in New Hampshire and am in the middle of a home building project. My wife and I have done a lot of the site work on our own. For a while we owned our own excavator (John Deere 490E) and we recently sold it to buy a tractor. The house is built using ICFs (insulated concrete forms) and concrete floors for all 3 levels. We used over 150 yards of concrete before we got to the roof, which was the first wood we had on site. It's been interesting and for the most part we've had good luck.
I like motorcycles but haven't had time for them this year. Can't wait to get back on next year. Currently I have a BMW R1200GS and love it. My wife has an F650GS. I participate on Adventure Rider Motorcycle Forum and have noticed a few members cross post between this forum. Good to know I'm not the only dork.
I'm a water-sewer worker ("heavy equipment operator" but spend more time with a hand shovel than I do in a seat) and enjoy the work but am sick of the politics. It's also hard on the body and can't imagine what another 20 years will do to me. I've got my sights on going back to school to become a Physician Assistant or Nurse.
That's me in a nutshell.
