high idle

kioti ck 4010 se hst idles at 1700 rpm won't go lower

A lot of newer smaller engined tractors idle very high. I’ve read but am not sure it has to do with emissions.

You may want to check the HST linkages underneath. Even though it's a fully electronic engine, it still uses bowden cables from the HST pedals and the Hand throttle up to the throttle position sensor in the side of the engine.

I'm thinking a stick or something is pushing the cable underneath and won't let it idle down.
