High Impact Air Pistol

I had a thread about this a couple of years back, but I'm still looking for an air pistol with critter knockdown power, multi shot capability. The reason is I'm in a restricted zone for firearms due to the airport's proximity. At least the woods at the rear of my property are. Plenty of rifles out there but the true pistol choices I've found don't suit me.

The "multi shot capability" is a narrow niche. I'd guess you need 700fps with a .22 cal pellet (5.5 mm, 15+ gr., pointed) to retain energy at distance (40 yards max) with a pistol. Then you'll have to try several different pellet types and weights to see what goes through your pistol best.

I wish I could just slip my ..357 or .44 in my pocket or on my belt, but where I am it's touchy. I know good air pistols are hard to pay for, but I don't really have a good choice. I can silence my .357 but it's not legal. The Evanix has intrigued me, they say true velocity is around 835-850 FPS. That's great for reasonably sized pistol. They say 2-3 kill shots per charge, then you're in plinking mode. It rankles me to pay that kind of money for an air pistol but they ain't giving them away!

The rifle you need is called a big bore air rifle. It uses 3000 psi air and fires a .44 cal slug. They are limited to 100-150 yards for highest effectivity.

The Evanix pistol looks interesting but it is LOUD according to the specs.
