Yanmar 2610
Hi. I bought a e222 and have a few days to return it if I don't like it, I knew it had some problems, but now the transmission is making a noise, is this going to be a big problem to find parts for, the tach I knew didn't work, and I can't find a cable for it, well found one used $48.00, can someone give me some advice, the people I got it from (dealer) said I could trade it back on a yanmar, I'm looking at the cost of the two, cost is why I bought the hinomoto, I guess I'm asking, can parts be found or would you trade.

I would trade for the Yanmar. Not that I don't like Hinomoto, but parts will be very difficult to find. And Most Yanmar model parts are readily available.

Good luck, Mark

Thanks Mark, what do you think about a ym2610, thats the trade he's talking, it will cost more, is parts and manuals easy for this model, I mean easier, I know most parts will have to be gotten and not stock. sorry I don't know much about this, so anybodies opinion is welcome. Thanks again Robert

I agree with Mark, and I have a Hinomoto ( Allis Chalmers ) I have always been able to get parts from the dealer I purchased it new from but I'm sure the day is coming when something is not going to be available. If I was looking I do the Yanmar.

E222,

The information and support for the YM2610 Yanmar is out there. Many reputable grey market dealers that sell Yanmar are members right here on TBN. That model you can trade for is a 30 engine HP, 3 cylinder with power shift transmission...a very good and a fairly popular model.

The information on the Hinomoto model E222 has dropped out of the system. Even the basic specifications mostly no longer available as importers have phased out that model. Updated web sites that still list Hinomoto's for sale, no longer include this model.

I currently have a AC 5020 with the 2 cylinder Toyosha that was given to me because I could not locate the no longer available oversized pistons and rings. The owner opted to bail out before the available parts prices, machining expenses and labor pushed it over the edge. Sadly, the back half of the tractor mechanicals worked flawlessly, but the engine repairs exceeded the tractors residual value.

Regards, Mark
