Oil & Fuel Hinomoto n179 - need help on oil fill and specs

HI - we purchased a Hinomoto n179 a while back and it is overdue for it's first oil change. Stupid question - but where is the oil fill cap on this model? No where obvious that we can see. Also, does anyone have oil and lub specs such as viscosity, capacities. And finally, is there is an american cousin of this tractor that we could find a manual for? I saw in another post that Allis Chambers and Massey Ferguson stopped using Hinomotos from the n series on. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I'm not familier with anything smaller than an N189 but I'll take a stab. See if the dipstick has a large knob on it. If it does, that's the filler tube. Use Rotella 15-40 oil. Hy-Trans fluid for the hydraulics. There is no match for any of these tractors.

Thanks for the info - that gives me a good start. Now the toughie: what is the best source for a new oil filter ? I see some german sites that sell filter sets, but any US suppliers that would know what filter a n179 takes?

When I get home I'll check the numbers on my N239. You can take those numbers to the parts store with your old filters and see if they are the same.

Thanks! We got the oil changed this weekend. The filler cap was a very small black plastic cap on the right side of the block about half way down and about halfway across.
