Hitachi EX60 repair

I am changing the seals in the undercarriage of the Hitachi Ex60. My problem is not knowing how to get them to stay in place while they are being lifted up into place. If I barely snug them in, they fall out of place. If I try to push them all the way into place, its too tight of a space, and they pop out. Frustration set in,and I don't know what order, or what technique to use to get them in there.
