A Fergie-MF 35 gas- Mf 165- Mf 6161- Unimog- Fiat 880
Old fasioned weight for FEL work with Fergies and other rear wheel drive tractors. Very good for modern 4wd drive tractors as well, saving the front wheel drive. Easy to make. Remember to fasten a piece of wood where the weight meets the lifting arms. It is very stabil as some weight is balanced upwards towards the lifting arms. No top link required!

bunch of weight there but it looks painful on the lift arms. Looks like the insulating piece of wood is just about cut in 2. A top link might keep it from bouncing around.

What do you figure the weight is? 500#

This weight is 50 years old, thats why the wood looks bad. It will not bounce around becauce some weight is transfered, by the tilting of the weight, to the lifting arms. The lifting arms of the Fergie is very tiny, they still are strong enough.

Very simple ! Have you picture rear of weight ? I was
wondering what is the another bar, in picture near of
right lifting arm. Does it go somewhere in tractor giving
extra support ?

The other bar you see is the old "fergie" system for lifting the trailer hitch. You would have to design the weight to fit your tractor.
The trick is to let some weight "bend" upwards against the lifting arms to prevent the weight from swinging.
