Another question I have is the 8,000lb OP stated the machine and backhoe only or does it include he trailer? If that is the weight of the load only he may be pushing the 12k limit once he adds the weight of the trailer. Best advice would be to get the WD I guess or get a bigger truck preferably with a gooseneck. If you are not planning on hauling it a lot and just need to get it home consider paying someone to haul it home for you.
