Hitch for 610 Mule

I am looking for an aftermarket bolt-on rear hitch for a new Kawasaki Mule 610. I have looked at a few of the accessory sites on the web recommended by this forum, but am still not completely satisfied with the offerings (sometimes no pic or it is hard to see how the unit attaches) and was hoping someone on this list had a good experience and information to share. I have seen the factory hitch, but at $144 list, it seems a little pricey. I'm just looking for a solid hitch at a reasonable price. Does anyone know of a good quality hitch out there for the 610, or should I just get the Kawasaki unit? Thanks.

The Mule is a great workhorse, but I can't belive they don't have a standard hitch on this rig. Even my light duty Arctic Cat Prowler has a standard 2" reciever hitch front and rear.

Maybe a hitch from a compact pickup would mount up with a little modification.

I agree Boomerang1, a hitch should be standard. However, since I did not get any specific endorsement for one particular brand, I did quite a bit of searching on the Internet and found 2 items that may help someone else in this same situation down the road. I hope these numbers are correct...they were repeated on multiple parts sites, so I think they are not just catalog numbers unique to a particular seller. Cycle Country makes a model TR56-6404 that retails for about $30-$35. This bolts on to the back of the Mule and provides a simple L-shaped hitch with a hole for mounting a ball. Quadboss makes a model 1269 which bolts on as well, but provides a 2" receiver hitch for about $60. Some sites specifiy model years (like '05 Mule), but I am not sure that will make any difference. Other sites indicated these same numbers fit all 610 Mules, so maybe no major changes were made to the back end. I hope this is helpful to others.
