Well guys they have not put my kioti all together yet i guess it will be this weekend somehow they got busy with a lawn and garden show and did not get mine all finished but, my question is "Quick hitch" good, bad? you may have touched on this but i'm thinking about getting one what is the downside to one?

When we bought our Kioti it didn't have the quick attach and we used it for 3 years with clamp on forks on the bucket. This year we decided to switch it over to the quick attach and it is soooo much easier to switch back and forth from bucket to forks (we bought a real set of forks). It takes about 1 minute to do it plus we bought a quick attach plate and made an attachment for a boom & tongs to skid logs that can be used with the front bucket or the 3 pt hitch. Here's a picture of it in the 3 pt hitch position.

I'd wait until you see how easy it is to switch 3pt equipment with the telescopic links, rear position control lever, and even the HST helps. You can inch the tractor forward or back standing beside the tractor pressing the pedals with your hands.
I assume many older implements don't exactly match up with a quick hitch either, so you might be stuck with buying new or newer implements. I don't find I switch often enough to worry about it but you might.

3pt quick hitches are great, esp on bigger implements.

The downside is all your implements need to be the standard 3pt measurements, and esp the top link can be set up oddly on some implements so the top hook won't fit. Specialty items like post hole diggers you need to take the quick hitch off....

That is one neat set up for skidding logs. Was that a regular Q A plate or one just for the rear arms? looks like clearance could be an issue in some cases.

Yes Short Kid, it is a regular rectangular QA plate that we adapted to be able to be hooked on the 3 pt hitch. The boom is pinned so you can mount it on the front loader arms with the plate and re-pin the boom facing front. What do you think is going to cause a clearance issue?

Ricky,
I have Qucik Hitch on my Bobcat version of the CK27. I added hydraulic top link to it, spent a little time reworking the top pin on a couple implements to work with the hook so all implements are now the same. Then I dug & planted short posts to rest each implement on so I can easily back in and hook up without leaving the seat. On the CK, I can reach the QH lock levers from the seat so only time I have to get off is if there is PTO to connect/disconnect.

Disadvantage of the QH: It does limit room/access when reaching around it to connect the PTO.

I had the QH from using on my old Kubota with turn buckle chain sway adjustments. If I had not had this, I probably would not have gotten it for the new tractor with the telescoping 3 pt and telescoping sway bars.

Invest in a T n T setup first, then decide if the QH would be added value.

thanks for the advice i thought it might be a good idea i have heard that if the attachments are to close to the tires and you turn sharp you could get into a tire so i thought a hitch may set it back a little more. i was thinking that even though the lower links might hook up easy will the top link be a problem? all of my implements are newer ones and when i was looking at the j.deere they really pushed their hitch setup so i thought i might add it on mine i had also looked at just the quick lower links like the "nortrac" ones.

If your implements are Imatch compatible then the Qucik Hitch will work fine, just set the top hook where it needs to be and should fit all. You will need to put Cat 1 to Cat 2 adapter bushings on all the pins. QH is cat 1 to the tractor with cat 2 hooks top & bottom.

I guess it is an optical allusion but if the top link is adjusted properly and the arms can't swing it will be ok.
