Hobart G213 questions

I recently aquired this old G213, and don't know much about it. I've experimented with it a bit, so I know the welder portion works, and so does the generator. Without a manual, the operation thus far is mostly trial and error, so I'm hoping someone out there may either have one or at least remember using one at some point. My first question involves the idle down/throttle up mechanism. The portable welders I've used in the past(mostly Lincolns) have this feature. I'm not sure if this unit has this feature, or if I simply don't know how to use it. At this point, the throttle needs to be set manually to high idle in order to weld or generate. Is this typical or am I missing something?

I have a G-213 and yes you must set throtal to hi idle for welding and generation there is no auto throttle function on this unit.
