Well for 150 bucks I couldn’t resist bringing it home. I hope I didn’t over pay. My Hobart Handler 210MVP has been flawless since day one is what prompted me to get it anyway.



Two questions.
How will this stack up next to my tombstone in the picture?

I want to make a scratch start TIG setup for one of these. Which welder would be more new user forgiving as I attempt to learn to TIG weld?

The buzz boxes will work but won't turn down very low for tig welding. You can turn your mig welder into a scratch start tig too and it may turn down lower. I can explain the process if you would like. Before the little inverter stick welders came out we used to easily convert the newly released Lincoln SP100 migs to do scratch start tig.
