Hobby farm troubles

We've got bears here too and while I would not go out of my way to harm one, that's as long as he and I have an understanding about where he is not going to go.

I don't know if it is dumb luck but I "suspect" that our electric fence helps keep them away. Coyotes too, we've never had a problem in 10 years with the livestock even though there have been bear right up to the house many times.

Fish and game told me that an electric fence around the top of my pig pen would keep the bear away. I will have to invest in some fencing before I start my next pig. I should use some on the sheep pen too, we shut the sheep in her house at night but we should make it more secure.
