Hoe for BX2200

Did some searches on this site and know that a backhoe was "not" available for the BX2200 awhile ago. Is anyone making a mini-hoe now?

DrDan; It was reported recently within one of the threads that Kubota will release a BX backhoe sometime this summer. On another site, a particular dealer and shop mentioned rigging one up a while back, but nothing mass-produced, widely-available, at this time.

Im new here, so this may have been discussed already.

CadPlans (http://www.cadplans.com) company sells plans for constructing several stand alone backhoes. They could easily be converted to use the hydraulics on the BX instead of the costly self-contained setup. This would allow you to tow the backhoe with your tractor to the site and then use it for hydraulic power.

I thought that I had read in here(somewhere) that Kubota would be making a hoe for the BX2200. Hopefully the product launch will coincide with next years tax return!

Just received an email back from Kubota with the official response:

"Thank you for your inquiry to Kubota.

The BX tractors are designed to handle a wide variety of three point mount implements ranging in size and weight. Knowing that, Kubota has been investigating the possibility of offering a backhoe for the BX sometime in the near future. As with all new products, it may take some time for development and testing therefore, I could not indicate with any certainty as to the date of availability of this implement."

It may help with the "investigation" if you send an email to TCriss@kubota.com - (this email address is on their web-site, so it's already public)

Yes, I was told by Kubota XXX, that the backhoe would be available probably late this year or early next as a 1-2 punch for JD's 4X4 subcompact. I was told there were other items in the wings also. Of course nothing is in stone till it happens. I would think all of us should write-call-telegram and bother them till they gives us what we want! J
