Today while cutting brush my float on my tractor got stuck and my shaft was against the top of my deck. It caused a small indention in the top of the deck where it rubbed while spinning and chewed the shaft cover into and exposed the shaft.
I disengaged it immediately but as it was powering down all this happened. After I checked it and did not see a noticeable bend on the shaft I re-engaged the PTO and there was no wobbling of the deck but the shaft looked wobbly. It could have been the cover that is now cut into but I did not want to risk it and just shut it down until I could gather info and test a few things out.
Can you guys give me pointers on knowing if there is shaft damage?
