OK a few days ago I called Westshore and when I asked him what he was doing he said "I am scaring the #?*! out of myself on an incline." I laughed at him like he was a sissy. Well guess who is the sissy now. I found an area that looked real pretty to work today but it was down in the valley, i just found a slope and headed down and worked all day. When it was time to head back to the truck it was a different story. It was a little rocky with very loose soil. All she wanted to do was spin the tires and dig up those rocks. I could not go backwards and I could not go forwards either and with all four of those big tires digging she wanted to go sideways! I finally wiggled around until I could move the biggest rock with my hands and it slowly dug its way back up the hill. I am used to the 140 and 148, just point it and push the lever forward and that is where you go. Oh well lesson learned and I now know that I do not need the seatbelt...when I get into those situations I am able to cling to the cloth on the seat quite tightly!!

What kind of machine were you using?

Thats scary when your getting stuck and sliding sideways at the same time. I have had that happen on both the 3720 and my yanmar.

THIS ONE, ONLY 150 HOURS!!!

im surprized that a machine with tires that big would loose traction. Especially with the fact that it has a bit of weight. does it have differential lock? my yanmar lost traction grading the driveway last night so i pressed the Differential lock and it pulled right out.

It was quite a steep hill. Yes, I had both ends locked up, all four were digging.

He he he. Yeah, many times there's been a near permanent "grip mark" on equipment seats I've used. Old age has taught me to stay out of those situations, they make the machine too smelly...

You just need a bigger machine with more power.
