I built this one evening to pull trailers and pull stuff around the place with my Satoh Beaver Its Cat 0 I built the pins out of 5/8 bolts and drilled them Narrowed a hitch that was ripped off a truck Used 1/2x3" flatbar for the mounting pins and then 2x2x1/8 sq tube for the third point

Not the prettiest but beats buying a drawbar then adding the upgrade they offer to use a hitch

Nice job. Weld a 2 5/16 ball to the top and you can move gooseneck trailers around as well.

Paint it and call it pretty.

I primed the welds and bare metal that wasnt already rusty.

I had planned on getting a can of the ford blue engine paint to somewhat match my little tractor sandblast it and paint it up

I hadnt thought about the goosneck ball idea thats only 11 ga tubing i figured the rotational force woulndt be too great and thats what i had on hand

After i posted i searched and found others setups but ill point out you can change the pins on mine if need be some others had the nuts inside the tubing of the receiver or just plain welded.

Just goes to show great minds think alike

Next i will build a boom pole setup and a front weight heavy loads make it hard for me to steer

Good job.
Just don't forget to hook a chain to it and then to the belly drawbar when you pull a trailer so it doesn't go up on you.

I still plan on adding a chain hook for throwing a chain onto for a quick pull around i will utilize a short piece Of chain to wrap around the drawbar and then put it over the hook

I got that receiver while i was buying a case david brown for 100$ i needed a cheat pipe to tighten a binder down and i found that in their scrap pile i asked the guy if i could have it aswell .

Sold the david brown the next day for 1000$$ as is did nothing but haul it 60 miles :D

Wild West,

Nice job. I was wondering what the measurement it on the center square tube. I'd like to build one of for my father's Satoh Beaver.

Thanks,
Adam

Just did the same thing a few weeks back, except I added the chain hooks. Painted mine bright yellor. Matching paint is nice and makes everything purty, but I'm getting to the age where busted shin's hurt. At 1st a few made fun of my bright colors but now they know "the rest of the story".
