Ok. I see it now. What I thought was a front drive line must be the draglink off the pitman arm.

If You have a neighbor who can machine then you would be surprised how short you can cut and weld drivelines. Especially for low speed units like a tractor. I am sure you will come up with something. You could, in fact, fabricate calipers and a rotor for a single (large) disk brake run off the drive line if you have enough room.

Can't wait to see it all finished. Mark

What I have decided to do is...make a couple of disks the same diameter as the hub on the transaxle and drill them out to slip over the 1" diameter stub on the extentions.Now...will take a bearing flange off the old tranny and run it down over the stub after the disk. This will keep it square for welding and cut off what's left of the shaft!! Then I can just drill out the disk and bolt it to the hub on the tranny. If things aren't close enough...I can just cut it free and try again with no trouble.Where there's a will...there's a lawyer......... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Ohh.....both trannys have a brake on the side.Gotta have it relined though.
