Homier farm pro, is once again in town w/ tractors

Last time they came, I only had enought time to look at one unit, their small one.. but today I got some time at lunch to go smoke over whatever they bring ( tractor stuff )... I even see some implimints...

Are there any questions, or things anyone here wants me to look at, touch / report back on... I'll take my notepad with me and find out as much as I can if anyone has questions.

Take a good look, I don't think you will be impressed.
They are cheap and built cheap.

In all fairness, I pretty much expect a new 3000$ tractor to look like.. well... a 3000$ tractor...

I've seen their economy units, and they run about as good as my yanmar 1700.. then again.. my yanmar is well engineered and 24 years old too...

I was wondering if they were the same as the Northern Tool ones. Man that price is cheap. You could buy two of them and still be cheaper than the big 3. I would imagine they are a good machine overall.

Yes, I believe they are the same tractor as what Northern Tool sells, except Northern brings in the 4WD version of the 20HP tractor while Homiers just sells the 2WD version.
The 25HP and 30HP ones are the same.

The Farm Pro and NorTrac, are both Jinma tractors from China. Each of them works with the factory and gets the options that they want for their particular model. So their is probably minor differences between them, even on the equivelent 254 and 304 models. Also a big factor in any Chinese tractor, is how well it is assembled stateside. Northern has been at this much longer than Homier, and expect that their process is much more refined. Homier has also been establishing dealers, who do their own assembly and have slightly higher prices than the traveling tool shows.

The last time they came around, I actually test drove the small maodel they had.. the 2wd 20hp one. Believe me, I've driven alot worse , used american models..

Not an endorsement.. but i don't think I would be frightened owning one... Heck I've done repairs on my 8n I never thought i could / would want to do.

I'd like to know if the oil filters are 59.95 as seen at Northern. If ya think that's a deal, be sure to get a fuel filter too at only $79.95. Would hate to need a REAL PART! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
