Honda HT4213 Transaxle Repair

Has anyone ever taken apart the transaxle on something like a Honda HT4213? It is a shaft drive engine and is about 14 years old. I'm wondering if I should bother with trying to repair it or if I should just go for replacement.

No, sorry but I don't have any experience with that specific machine. As to giving a try to fixing it though, I would say it depends a lot on attitude and aptitude. If you're like me, the consolation prize for having something break is getting to tear it apart. Do you have a service manual that details the inards of the transaxle?

I've got the manual on the way. I like to think that a repair job requires the two things that you mention, plus tools, information, and parts. At this point, I'm still collecting information, but so far I'm only up to 2.5 out of 5!
