Honda lawn mower self propel broken

My Honda lawn mower self propel is broken. Any ideas on how to fix it?

I have a neighbor that fixed his several times......one time too many he gave it to me and I cut out all the self-propelled stuff....

Best darned push mower I ever owned.......

ditto. Parts were going to be 1/2 the cost of a new mower.

I guess I lucked out...


Bought Mom a commercial Honda with the Cast Aluminum Deck a few years ago.

One day she said the mower works but it will not self propel... turned out to be a little over-riding clutch inside the drive wheel had a broken retainer ring...

Less than $20 for parts...
