Hit a metal pipe with my push mower. It was enough to stop the engine, the pipe was NOT wedged under the deck.

Upon inspection, the blades looked OK. They are mulching blades, lots of curves and whatnot.

I started the engine backup, but I have got as serious vibration in the mower now.

How do I tell if the blades are shot or the shaft?

Thanks in advance.

If it is just a single blade direct drive mower take the blade off and check the balance. They make an inexpensive blade balancer. Or just use a nail on the wall. If the blade is balanced properly then you can assume it's the crank.
