There is a clock in the car and clocks in our home so for keeping on track I can go look at them. But not having a clock on my person has really changed me and for the better. Give it a try.

Rox, I have not worn a watch for over a year. As long as I have a cell phone and computer, time is always available when I need (or don't need) it.

I have a nice watch my wife bought me, but I don't wear it except for special occasions. I was wearing cheap watches with nylon bands and velcro for over three years and I destroyed them all. I must have gone through about 8 cheap watches. Now, if I just have to know what time it is, I can pull my cell phone out of my pocket when I'm working outside on the tractor or pruning trees/brush.

My body clock is also very good. I've been an early riser since my youth, and now I will wake up before 6 am without fail. I also know what time of day it is within 1/2 hour. Maybe it's a curse, but now that I have all this time to myself, I don't want to waste a minute. Time flys when you're havin' fun.:D

Hold off on the card for a couple of weeks until I see if I get hired as a local school bus driver.:D

As far as going back to my old job for any reason, I think that's not going to happen. The "die is cast" for them to move everything to India immediately. It's happening even more rapidly since I left. That venture may succeed or fail, but either will be without my involvement. The jury is out. . . .

Good luck on the Bus driving job... Story to follow... I had the same bus driver from 1st grade to high school (he was a local dairy farmer). Spent 21 years in the Navy and came home to retire... Son started 5th grade that year... yep, same bus driver... daugher started first grade a few years later... yep, same bus driver! I think he retired after 50 years of driving a county school bus. Great guy! (PS, he used to let me set on the heater beside the drivers seat during cold weather)

Congratulations on making it thru the rat race.

I still have 3 years until I hit mando Navy retirement years, I figure I'll hold out as long as I can and take as much as Uncle Sam will give me.
Last year we bought a piece of property in the southern part of Middle TN and plan to build a little horse farm and tractor play ground.

There happens to be a Home Depot and TSC in town and I think one of them will make a fine place for a part time job.

Hope you enjoy retirement and your new 'boss'
