Hook & Ball Quick Hitch on LS?

/ Hook & Ball Quick Hitch on LS? #11
For your size tractor size, I recommend the cat 1-2 size. The straight cat 1 hooks are small, more for a tractor that has less than a 2000lb lift capacity IMO. Something like the B series Kubota.

No real good reason to make the notches. You should not really ever need them to extend. Use a piece of flat bar, maybe 3/4"x 3" or what ever size it needs, ease the edges, drill a hole for the stock pin to go through, weld them on at the required angle and you're all set. Slide them in, install the pin and you're done.

I typically have implement balls and hooks in stock for the cat 1, cat 1-2 in both cat 1 and cat 2 pin sizes and cat 2 Euro hooks.

I just don't push these items with the T&T sets being my main product line. ;)

I took my Kioti extender apart last year, pretty straight forward as I recall. Seems like a good solution.

You're making this too easy for me :laughing:

Now I just gotta finish up a few projects to pay for it all.

Could always do as Brian suggest and make without notches, just add later if wanted.

In certain situations I guess that having the extendable ends would be desirable, like hooking up to an implement that is up against a wall. But then my solution would be to not leave the implement up tight to a wall, but leave 6" of space so that you would still have some leeway to push the implement to get lined up.

Just my :2cents:

Keep in mind, that by going to a Cat 2/1 hook, the hook it's a lot bigger than the Cat 1. This can cause problems on Cat 1 implements that doesn't have enough room for the big Cat 2 hooks.

I have Cat 1 from factory on my tractor that has a 2400 lbs lift capacity @ 24" or 3300 lbs at the ball ends. It's just fine for the tractor and plenty strong for its application. The OP's LS tractor lists a 2755 lbs capacity on the 3PT, so it should be fine as well.

To the OP, looking forward for you progress. I think you'll like this system a lot, as it's easy to connect to implements and doesn't extend everything further back like the other options. In fact, I think you'll get "hooked" to this system. :D
