hooking up auxiarlly hydraulic lines

I have a ym 2210 and I built a front end loader for my John deere 425 lawn tractor last year, I would like to transfer the loader over to my yanmar but am not forsure how to plumb the steel hydraulic lines. I am not forsure which of the 2 lines is the supply and the return line there is one line that is bigger in dia. than the other line. Is there any special type of tool or coupler that I can attach or splice into the steel tube lines. Yalls help would be apperciated. Thanks, Heres a pic of the loader on my jd 425. The small line is the high pressure and there are couplers that will fit it.

Thank you for the information Danny, Much apperciated! You would not happen to know a name or brand of these type of couplers would you or where to obtain these type of couplers. Thank again.
