Kioti DK551C
Hi all,
Just joined the forum. Been lurking for a while, finally decided to sign up. I've owned a DK551c for almost a year now and I'm very happy with it. I did a fair bit of research on tractor makes including a lot of forum trawling on here and most people seem happy with their kiotis. And there are a couple of dealers around 1hours drive from home so parts( if needed ) aren't to far away. The forum has been good for for an insight to other people's experiences good and bad with some humor thrown in. We bought a property in feb last year that had been left to get overgrown by the previous owners. So I got the DK to clean up the over growth and for other things you do with a tractor plus things I hadn't thought of. I got in some serious seat time from the start,50 hrs within the first 2/3 months of delivery. My wife was a tractor widow(she lost her husband to a tractor!) for quite some time. Glad I got the cab, it enabled me to come home from work and stay on the DK until 11:30pm most nights! I had to pretend that it was "work" so she didn't suspect I was actually having fun!! Anyway glad to be a pack member now.
Cheers Liam

P.S; not sure why I got the dirt moving prefix, I can't seem to edit it now : (

I have a CK25 shuttle shift. I only have 2.5 acres. But, I've used that little tractor quite a bit. I built a road to my barn. I had to spread/fill over 1000 tons of dirt, then 140 tons of stone on top, added 40' of 2' culvert pipe, built a stone culvert on it's output, have taken out several stumps, burried a 500 gallon propane tank and trenched to the house, replace my septic line, built a 5' x 35' retaining wall, installed 700' of fence, countless yards of mulch and horse manure, use it like a crane, cleared 100's of feet of brush and briars, trenched gutter drains out more than 100 feet from the house, chip up all my brush from the many tree/shrub trimmings....... It's so **** useful I keep finding more and more things to do with it.:D

I'm at about 470 hours, year 6. Love it. All for pleasure/home improvement.

Welcome Aboard Ozy. Just wondering when you drill holes on the bottom of the world down there if the water runs out???

I took a trip to NZ & Oz a couple of years ago. Loved it. The people there were very nice. It is one big place...

I have a DK45Se that I am quite fond of. Its just the right size for me and my projects so far.

Thanks Miramadar.

Yes tpulley one of the holes did have some water running out. I hope its not your dam I'm draining! Actually I was "lucky" enough to find an irrigation line buried 2ft down:mad: Just my luck to manage to pick that spot out of 66 acres to drill the hole!! I blame murphy and his stupid laws.

Too funny. I am sure it wasn't funny at the moment though. You may ought to try the reverse pshycology on projects... When "YOU" think the whole ought to go "Here" Put it over "there". Then you will mess with old Murphy....
