Am going to replace the 13.6 x 28 tires on my 135 Massey- Ferguson. Called the shop and they said they sell a tire called a Titan, never heard of it before. They told me Titan bought out Goodyear and that they are made in the U.S.A. Anyone know if these tires are any good? Another thing, the tires were loaded with calcium and I'm going to sandblast and paint the rims before the new tires are mounted. I want to stay away from the calcium and I'm told they will fill them with windshield washer fluid. Is this the way to go? Are you guys using anything besides windshield washer fluid that is better? I'm not a hard core farmer and just use the tractor for brush hogging and pulling a trailer for cutting firewood. No plowing or anything hard like that. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. This tire change should be my last, so I want to do it right. Thanks.

I would recommend beet juice. It is non corrosive and weighs more per gallon than water or wind shield fluid.

I have Titan's on the front of my Kubota. They have held up well.

it is one of them... how bad is the rim rusted from calc. and ya really will not know till ya pull the old tires off the rims. the rims maybe to rusted out, and start putting holes in the rim when ya go to clean the rims up.

titans have been around for some time, no idea about specifics. there are some name brand tires, and off brand tire manufactures out there. name brand = 2 to 3 times as much as an off brand tire.

double check your "ply rating" general statement a higher ply rating = thicker rubber of the tire.

Titans also came on my new Kubota 10 years ago (front) and they are holding up well.

Titan does own the Goodyear Ag tire business and makes tires under both names License agreement with Goodyear as part of the buy out. Is also OEM supplier for John Deere, Case/IH, Case Construction, AGCO, Kubota, Bobcat to name a few.
Titan/Goodyear or Bridgestone/Firestone are the 2 major Ag tire suppliers.

I have 11 year-old Titans on my NH, no problems with 2000 hours of use.

I have Titan radials front and rear on my Kubota. They have stood up well against lots of rough bush hogging and grapple use, IMO both are pretty hard on tires. They pull very well too.

Titans are the most common tractor tire I see around here. My Kubota's had Titans, and my Kioti has Titans. I have a Methanol/water mix in my rear tires. Windshield washer fluid active ingredients are Methanol and water, plus a little blue dye to be able to see the level in your windshield washer reservoir. While the RimGuard or so called "beet juice" has many advantages it is not readily available everywhere. If available in your area, it would be a good first choice, if not the WW fluid would be a good second.
