Hornets like Kioti orange

Kind of a silly subject, but after work I was learning to use the FEL to tear out some briars under sheltered areas that the hog can't reach.

Those things are full of wasp and hornet nests!

Funny thing is they attacked the bright orange hood of the tractor rather than me. Lucky.

I backed up real fast though!

I think I need a beekeeper outfit or something.

On an even more bizarre note.... I only know two people named Les and one of them used to be e beekeeper.

I did some checking. It was because of motion. They only attack things that are moving. I backed up rather than jump and run. We all know they go for head and neck...but they went for the head and neck of the Kioti (the hood) above and behind the "eyes" (headlights?)

I hate bees. They hate me. Even when I walk out to the kioti's new home (a lean to attached to the barn) they go after me when I just want to get on the tractor and start her up.

The **** with benefitial insects and such. I am gonna spray the whole area with sevin or something.

I remember once running a small bulldozer for a friend, it was yellow, and the little suckers were all over the thing. I got into a bunch of nests in the ground. Well, being that they didn't come after me, I ripped up more ground than necessary. My friend had gone for more diesel and when he came home said, I just wanted some leveling done. Didn't want the area to like a military missle range. I had a little extra work straightening things out but the hornets were gone. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
As a kid, my father had honey bees. They hated wool clothing and any petroleum oil product. Just in case you run across any.
