horsepower for yanmar fx255

Can anyone tell me what the engine and pto hp of a yanmar fx255 would be? If I was looking for a 30 hp pto fx yanmar what would I be looking for as fair as the numbers on the side of the tractor?

The FX255 will give you 25 PTO hp and about 28 or 29 engine hp. You aren't far from 30hp. An FX26 will get you there.

What is the difference between the FX 2 diget and the FX 3 diget tractors?

I saw a web site that list tractor hp.& pto hp.& weight. If I can find it again I will post it .If someone else has it maybe they will post it. I was told when I was looking for a tractor, take away 5hp from engine hp& that is your pto hp. Is this correct Brent?

The 3 digit model FX tractors are newer models. I don't know any details about them though.

Actually the model number reflects the PTO horsepower, YM1500, 15 pto hp, YM3110, 31 pto hp. Most people add 3 hp to the smaller models for the actual engine hp, YM1500, 18 engine hp and they usually add about 4 for the larger models like a 2620 or a 3110.
