HI All......After lurking here for a month or so and then getting the fever I went out and bought a B7500 HSD. It was great to read all the posts and see the opinions of everyone, which helped in my decision. The rear tires are turf/bars combination which he said he would load. At this time I went with the Woods 1006 FEL and 60" MMM. Maybe later down the road I can get the Woods backhoe which he said would cost $6300. Dealer even said he could add the back hoe a year or two down the road and add it to the Kubota Financing. I am really excited as he said he could probably deliver it by next Wednesday. Anyway this forum is the greatest and invaluable. The B7500 may be a little more than what I needed but I figured what the heck. I will post pics after I get it

Oh yeah I asked him about the insurance and he told me he just needed the company, agent, and that it would be covered under fire and theft. I said what about rollover and collision and he said I didn't need it. Have to get with him on Monday about the rest of that.

Mark, I have about 300' of gravel driveway to maintain and about 2 acres to mow with some hills which I am sure I will have to go up and down and not sideways, but the majority of land is pretty level . Definitely would have come in handy with the snow we had a couple months ago. Also have some brush areas I'd like to get cleaned up. For being a senior citizen I didn't think I could get this excited /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif about a CUT

Congratulations!

I don't want to nit-pick, but in response to your comment:

I would be very surprised if it could be added after the initial purchase. I would think it might even be problematic to include at the time of purchase considering you have a Woods loader as well. It was my understanding that Kubota financing required something like 70-75% of the purchase price to be Kubota equipment. Maybe they've changed that.

I would really be surprised if they would finance a Woods backhoe after the initial purchase.

I would suggest that if you want the 'hoe, get it now while rates are low. Although, I think that price seemed a bit high.

Good Luck with your new tractor.

Rick, Thanks for your input. It all sounded kind of strange to me at the onset also. What do you think a good or fair price would be for the Woods backhoe?
I have a boat for sale in the local Bulletin Board and would actually be using the proceeds from the sale for the backhoe. Now I'm wondering why he was pushing the Woods implements. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gifAnymore input or thoughts you might have would be much appreciated. Thanks

I priced the Woods 6500 Backhoe for 5300.00 with 16 inch bucket. Your price is a on the high side. I would get a Kubota FEL Loader if I was you. My dealer never even asked if I wanted another brand loader than a Kubota. I would get the Kubota L302 FEL.

I bought my Woods 7500 backhoe, subframe and pump almost 3 years ago, so I'm not sure how much prices have changed since then. However, from what I remember reading on this board, it seems to me that a price somewhere in the $5500 might be possible.

I think I paid a bit more than that for my 7500 in 2000.

If you're thinking about a 3 pt. hitch mounted hoe, I would stick with Kubota. If you're going with any other manufacturer, I'd recommend the subframe.

As far as the Woods implements, all the Woods equipment that I've seen and purchased seemed to be of very good quality, and tend to be priced higher than many other implement mfg's. Woods loaders will probably have better specs in terms of lift power and height than the Kubota loaders available for your tractor. However, I think the Kubota loaders are designed with lower lift heights and weights as a safety issue. The higher and heavier the load, the easier it is to tip the tractor. That's just my opinion, so take it for what it's worth.

But quality-wise, I wouldn't be concerned about Woods.
