I have a chance to buy one of these for 250$. I am guessing it is a commercial unit, belt drive pump, electric, kerosene fired heater. Said it it has a new stainless steel coil in hte burner. If the unt looks good and works good does this sound like a good price? How much better does hot water clean?? Should i go for it or let it pass?

Later guys!! snapper

I bought a hot water pressure washer many years ago for $400. It had an Onan engine and I figured in a worse case situation, the engine alone was worth $400. It turned out that the unit had been left out in cold weather and froze. I had to re-plumb and rewire the whole thing, but when I was finished I had a nice pressure washer worth over four times as much as I paid for it. I still have it, but don't use it much because it's so big.

If you can possibly see the unit run and operate, do it. If you buy it without seeing it run, you are buying salvage. Don't expect the rebuild to be easy. Some pumps cost more for the seal kit than they are worth. General brand pumps are very good and easy to rebuild. Good luck.

If it works, I'd snap it up in a minute.

If it doesn't work, or you can't assure yourself it will work, how badly do you want another project? Northern Equip has a lot of pressure washer pumps and accessories.
