Hi,
My name is Guy, i am from the South west of France. First of all, I apologize about my English.
I have a John Deere 2720 and the hour meter tachometer cable is broken.
The tachometer was blocked. I put oil, and I tested it with a drill and after that everything is running.
I put back the panel on the tractor and after that the tachometer was blocked again.
In my case, I think that the issue is on the part "angle drive" (helical gear, bevel gear) under the instrument panel (part with the cable connection). This angle drive is blocked, but I do not see any problem on the plastic gears.
Do you think the problem could come from this part ? where can i found this part (to not change all the instrument panel) ?
Do you have any idea to help me ?
