Hour Meter

I have a Scotts 2348 LT and would like to add an hour meter.Scotts is made by John Deere and have to go thru JD for parts. They want $45 for hour meter and $40 for wiring harness?? Does anyone know of an alternate source that would work. Tractor has 23HP Kohler engine. Per JD this is same tractor as Sabre by JD. I'm very happy with tractor,just would like to have hour meter to keep up with maintenance. Appreciate any assistance.

Which type of hour meter do you want? The electric clock type is available at most autoelectric or farm supply stores. The rev counter type is probably only available from a dealer.

I wanted to digital type. Found out I already had necessary wiring so I got the $40. one from the dealer and it works fine. Thanks for your help
