Starting up our Ford 3055, it has only ran about 10 hours since we overhauled the engine.
We've put in new piston rings, got the crankshaft re grounded, new big end and crankshaft bearings, new head gasket, new injectors and much more.
It is a great little tractor that performs way above any other tractor in it's class!
*For those who are unfamiliar with this model:
The Ford 3055 is basically a curious contraption between a Ford 4000 back end with a Ford 3000 front end.
As was the engine: A 3000 engine with a 4000 crankshaft, which made it the only model with a long stroke engine.
The 3055 wasn't sold outside mainland Europe until 1975 as the Ford 4100.
In the US the Ford 3055 is probably better known as the Ford 4000 SU.
