I tried this on the Kubota forum and got no response. Realistically, how big a tiller are people running on the B2630? Book says 50". I'm leaning toward a King Kutter. The 48" is offset to cover the tire track, but does anybody run the 60" model? I've never lacked for power with this tractor, but don't want to blow it now.

For the non-Kubota guys, the tractor is 26hp at the flywheel, and it says 19hp at the pto. I run a 5" Bearcat wood chipper without the slightest effort. Very tourquey motor with power to spare - I would say it's very coservatively rated, which is why I'm wondering if I can run the big tiller.

Thanks!

It will run a 60" with no problem on a 30 horse 7800 or 3030. I don't see it hurting on the 2630 going at a nice slow pace.

I agree. I run a KKII 60" tiller behind my B3030. No problem at all. A couple of HP won't make that much difference. You can always slow down or take another pass.

I'd go with a 60" to cover your tire tracks.

Thanks guys, that's what I was looking for! Anybody else?

Lindy, how's it pull that Ferguson 2 bottom? I've got a single bottom Ferguson, but it's a 16". I'm plowing a solid 8 inches in sandy loam, and it does real well, but I know it's there. Often wondered about a 2 bottom.

I've never pulled it with my B3030. I used to pull it with my '53 Ford Jubilee (2WD) without too much trouble, but that had ag tires. The Kubota has 4WD, but it also has R4's.

I think it would do ok, but who knows.....

I think a 5 ft would match up pretty good. Our Tarter 5 ft is $1595 with all the bells and whistles and made in the USA. 6 ft shown in the pictures. Ken Sweet

Ken, that tiller looks a whole lot like the King Kutter. Same unit?

I run an AGRIC 5.5' on my B7800, with the HST I can keep the rpm's up for the tiller and move along in low range in response to soil conditions. Actually I am happier with the results than with my L4350!

I'm surprised he hasn't answered you yet, but no. It's not the same model. I'd say the King Kutter was closely inspected when Tarter gate *designed* that tiller. That being said... if they did a good job, it's probably a pretty good tiller.

Father in law has a 60inch Farm King tiller that he uses behind his Kubota B2400 and I use behind my MF GC2400. It works well, you just have to slow down a bit when the chewing gets tough.

We bought a 58" (5') LandPride RTR1058 this spring and have used it extensively with our B2410 (24FW/18PTO HP) without any problems at all, except that it's a little heavy. 110# of front weights helped a LOT but if you have a FEL it won't be a problem at all.

I run a 50" Landpride behind my B7100 which is rated at 16/13. When the tiller is really buried in loose soil or compost it starts to pull the engine down pretty good. Other than that it handles it fine. You won't have a problem with a 60".

Thanks everyone. Looks like a 60" is in my future! Just need a sale or coupon for Tractor Supply.
