I have a line on a used Herd 1200B, good working order that's about 10 years old for only $300. I checked with David Herd and he confirmed that its a Cat1 frame. However, my question for those in the know with my set-up listed below am I going too big? All factors considered weight of implement/fertilizer vs size of yard and property I was initially planning on getting the trusty m-96 and maybe a used 750 until this deal came up. Anyway give me your $.02 because on the one hand its a heck of a deal on the other it could be too intimidating for both man and machine.

am I going too big?

You don't HAVE to fill it full, so it can't be "too big".

But you WILL be able to fill it to what your tractor can handle, which means fewer stops to refill

I'd go for it myself
