How brisk are new tractors selling in your area now?

How are sales in your area going these days for new Kubota or other brand CUTS and utility models up to maybe 70HP?

It's farm country here and lower grain prices have put the squeeze on new tractor sales, including CUTS and utility models. I've seen a couple dealers close or consolidate and wonder how things are going in the rest of the country.

I'm not in the business, but as nearly as I can tell, not well.

The local Kubota place recently upgraded the delivery truck fleet and have close to a million in delivery trucks on the lot so I’d say pretty good.

My local Kubota dealer in Virginia said they didn’t keep their inventory much longer than 60 days and by the looks of the shiny paint on the tractors I believed him. So seems like equipment is moving off the lots here. We’re in uppity horse and wine country just outside the DC economic bubble so things may be different here.

It's mixed sales here. My dealer sells mostly RTVs durring the winter but a few tractors with blowers/plows if a big snow storm comes. Come April, the sales volume switches back to tractors and by May, lawn mowers add into the sales mix.

We only have two dealership in our area and I've not been to either in many months. This is not what I'd call an "Ag area" anyway. If things are indeed slow, maybe they'd be discounting new machines??

Very good here. I can't believe the inventory on my dealers lot. And my city now has a sea of orange.

Even the subdivisions in the city with small yards.....I see all kinds of BX's and B's snow blowing their driveways.

And all the plow contractors are now using Kubota's. Everything from B2650 cabs to RTV's right up to M6's.

There is also LS and Kioti dealers here and I see lots of those around now too.

Lot of houses on 2-10 acre properties around me. BX's sell fast. I dropped my BX off a couple weeks back for a repair, and they had 5 or 6 80 series BX's. When I picked mine up a week later they had 1 left. I picked up a 2670 that was left on the lot after they started getting the new 80 series BX's. Got a steal of a deal on it.
