I would really like to be able to use a hydraulic top link on my tc33d. Unfortunately, this little tractor doesn't have any remotes. It's a '99 model but only has about 1000 hours, but I don't want to spend a fortune doing this. Can anybody suggest what I can do. Is there an electric model that would not require hydraulics?? Thanks

IF there was an electric one, it would not suit you. There is no way that it would be strong enough in the size package that you need. :( The easiest non OEM way would be to install an electric diverter valve off of your loader curl circuit. Not the cheapest although close, just the easiest IMO. Should be about $500 to get to the point where you are ready for a top link kit which is $255. So you would be looking at about $755 + shipping costs from me.

Just something for you to consider. ;)

Do you have a loader?

If so, does it have a PB outlet?

If so, you can easily add remotes with as many spools as you need.

You will need one 3 or 4 spool valve, hoses and fittings

Are you capable of sources out the parts and building the setup?

Sometimes the remotes kits are better.

I do not have a loader. I have only one hydraulic handle (lever) that raises the bottom 2 arms of the 3 point hitch as well as the belly mower. No joy stick type control at all.

What you would do in that case is to go from the pump to the IN port of the remote valve and from the PB of the remote to the 3pt. The Out port would go to tank.

You want at least one or two spools with float.

No loader. :( I am not familiar with your tractor to be able to help you out with your point of origin for the hydraulic lines then. You might want to post something in the New Holland owning operating forum to get a few more people that know a bit more about your tractor than I do. :sorry:

Tractor help has the single and the dual remote kits from New Holland.
Accessories - TC33D - TC33 - TC Series - New Holland
I've got the dual kit on my DX33 (basically a red TC33DA) and I absolutely love them. The first set is for the power angle on my snowplow that I adapted to my loader. The adjustable top link is coming as soon as some of the holiday bills are paid for haha

It's a nice setup also because it puts the levers for the remotes right next to the 3-point lever. Everything is at your fingertips. It was pricey, but well worth it by the time it was done.

I put the dual rear remotes kit on my TC33D when i got it. parts were like $700 6 or so years ago. You could in theory stack another remote on to the hydrulic stack on the rear, (they just stack together and get bolted on) but then you have to mod up your own handle and cut the fender plastic for it.

else you can add a electric diverter from the loader for the third one.

Ironpen, you need to be sure of what you want before you start. You said you wanted one remote for a hydraulic toplink. If that is all you want and you'll never add other hydraulics, then go with the New Holland kit and be done with it is my suggestion. The prices of adding a remote setup you build for yourself have to include building mounting brackets, hoses and rigid tubing, quick connects, and routing all your own lines. If you buy the NH kit, it includes everything you need to put a remote valve and lever on the right side near the 3PH control. It will come with rigid plumbed lines and mounting including quick connects that are right beside where your toplink attaches to the tractor. You'll only have to buy the hydraulic toplink and two short 1/4" hoses, probably around 36" long adapted to two male 1/2" quick connects using reducer fittings. You won't have to cut, weld, drill, or plumb lines after figuring out all the fittings you need. If you are a hydraulics expert, doing the kit for yourself is fairly easy, but if you are not an expert and don't have building skills, then it is a daunting task to get those after market remotes added. It makes it even harder that you do not have a loader. I think after you've spent the money for the NH kit, you'll be happy you did it.

Oh yes. . . if you go with the NH kit and decide to add other remotes or a loader, your NH kit will remain in place without modification and with easy add-on of other components. If you build your own setup and later add a loader, you'll be back to doing plumbing and re-routing lines.
