How can I remove the clear plastic guage cover on my Kubota b7800

Want to remove the clear plastic cover that straddles over the steering column, covering the gauges, tachometer, etc..

I pried carefully with a screwdriver in the 2 slots on the top of the cover and it did
not seem to come off.

What is the proper technique?

It comes out from the back side as one unit, then you can take it all apart.

See that you have a b7800. Have you had to remove the cans on the FEL control valve due to moisture and freezing? Need to do mine and
hoping someone who has the same control can tell me what I need to do. Thanks, again.

To get to the panel, remove screw that is in the center of the dash. The screw is near the fuel fill cap. Remove steering wheel, throttle lever, if I remember right I think I took the key switch out. There are tabs on the sides and bottom for the dash panel, just lift up on panel. You should be able to raise the panel enough to unplug the wiring harness and unscrew the gauge panel.
I haven't done my cans yet, but need to. I'm just going to unbolt the valve so I can tilt it enough to remove the cans. Mine might not be the same as yours, kubota used 3 different loader valves on the 7800.

My valve is pictured on page 9 of la402 loader parts diagram. 2 equal size hex shaped cans about 3" long.

Send me an email when you get to them and let me know how it goes. I'm new to tractors and not sure if I should do this myself??
Looks as if it would be easier to remove the loader assembly and gain clear access to the valve.

The cans are 1 1/4". Had a hard time with a 12pt socket when I tried one on. I think a 6-sided socket would fit and work better?

I assumed I would need metric tools to work the tractor. So far, I've used SAE. Is most of the hardware SAE?

That is the same one I have. I haven't looked at the ends yet, but if the little short spools that go into the long spools can be taken loose then the hole end might come off as assy. I wouldn't just unscrew the assy and pull off just yet. Might have springs and balls go flying. By the drawing it kind of looks like you might be able to use a small socket to get them loose.

Looking at the drawing, do you think that we are able to drill a weep hole with removing the cans?

My apologies for reviving an old post, but how does one remove the Throttle Lever? Mine appears to be a hex head, but I cannot get it to move/release.

Mine has a spring pin that I drive out.

I would like to lube my throttle cable. Is it difficult to do?
