2012 Kioti DK45 HST Cab
I just bought a set of brand new VERSATECH 48" SSQA Pallet Forks in a Richie Bros auction. My winning bid was $475 but then you have to tack on a %10 administration charge, but I knew that going in.

I can't find much about VERSATECH and so far, I haven't even figured out the rated cap. of these forks (I don't have them yet and can't find it on the internet), although the KL130 FEL on my Kioti CK30 only has a breakout force of a little more than 2000lbs, so I should be OK no matter what it is.

So, for a total of $522 + tax, how did I make out?

I paid $600 for a set of very good condition used John Deere forks.

I think you got an OK deal, but nothing to write home about.

Horribly, you should drop them off at my place. I will give you $150 to take them off your hands :D
On a more serious note, looks like a decent deal to me.

Well it looks like you want an opinion.. so here goes.. The price good.
the size (48 inch) and the weight (they look heavy).. Not so good for your application on a CK30. I am afraid you will cuss both the length and the weight of them in the near future.. I could be wrong, and this is only an opinion. Good Luck

That price is about average for those light weight forks.

The heavy duty ones, MUCH MUCH heavier duty, go from $400 to $1200 for the exact same ones depending on the location. Such is auction bidding.

Anyway, you can find the prices for the forks you have by searching on the RB site for similar items in "Auction Results". You can see what people are paying all around the world. You have to be a member to do the search.

Oooops, I was looking at the wrong lot when I went back to get a pic for this thread. I actually picked up new 48" WildKat forks, I was leading the other lot most of the day and lost it near the end. Here's the real picture of what I'm getting and the description I got from WildKat (I think it's the same company so it shouldn't make much diff.). They sell them for $600 on their web site, although that doesn't mean much.

So from what I'm getting from the comments here is I didn't get screwed, but didn't get an extraordinary deal. That's basically what I had thought, so I guess I'm happy. For this auction, the low price on 48" forks (7 pair) was $475 and the high price was $600. Overall, the avg price of forks in the rb auction has been $600.

James, I'm hoping you're wrong. I'm planning on mostly moving stuff on pallets, so the length shouldn't matter since that's how deep the pallets are anyway. The weight is my concern, but I'm hoping it's not much more than my bucket. I'd really love the lift cap. of the DK series (KL401 is about 2700lb to full height), but I'll have to live with my limitations.

WILDKAT ATTACHMENTS - Forks

I am sure they will be fine, Ken, I just was concerned about the possible extra weight, and length, You will just have to be a little more careful when working around things and may never be a problem for you. As for the weight it does not say what they weigh on the website. At any rate I am sure you will get a lot of good use from them and enjoy them..And if you do trade for that DK series with the KL401, well you will be set up with a set of forks.:)

I have had the opportunity to use both 48" & 42" forks on my tractor. For my use I prefer the 48" because where I have my seat adjusted, and my height when engaging a pallet setting on the ground I can see the tip of the longer fork. With the 42" the fork tip is hidden by the top of the QA frame. That extra 6" is just enough that I see over the top of the frame.

Ken, you got a decent deal for around here. I have HLA lightweight ones from Brindley Auctions and paid around $500 for them. I have the 42" ones because I figured they would work better for me and I was planning to buy a loose set of 48" forks and just switch them out if needed. Paid a couple bucks extra to get orange ones, paint is almost gone already. The weight is likely no issue for your machine. Were you at the circus at Markdale Ford on Saturday? I helped sell the sled and 4 wheeler stuff, it was nuts. I heard the grapples and skid equipment went high.
