How did I do?

MarkV, Thanks I'll add to that to the list. Do you happen to know if that is or can be factory installed? Having read a lot of posts, most people suggest factory installed if possible. Also, suggestions on location of work lights on 3430?

hammer1995,
What does a frour-way valve do that a three way valve won't on a FEL?

Thank

Good question that I don't fully understand myself. I know it is needed for some types of snow equipment, etc. It may be useful for other front hydraulic attachments. If you don't get it now at $40 and decide you need it later it will cost ~$500 at that time. Do a search for 4 way valve and you'll get more info. I'm going to get it even though I may never use it because of the price risk. If I ever decide to sell my tractor in the future, it may be one feature a potential buyer is looking for.

According to my FEL manual, the 4 way/or position valve has two dump positions. The first dump position to the right is the "regular" dump position. The second dump position (further right) features greater speed for dumping. The main reason I went ahead and had them upgrade mine to a 4-way is so that if I decided to add the hydraulic angling blade in the future that I would already have the valve. As posted above, the cost to add later is much higher than upgrading now. Also the snow blower also uses the 4 way.

Thanks for the advice.
I will see if I can add it. The quick-attach option is another $300. To be honest $17,500 has just about broke the bank.
I'm trying to finance around $12,000, SWMBO is not happy at that.
I wll be planting flowers for the rest of my life!

Thanks Again

ps I started out looking the BX series and ended with the Grand L3430, she just doesn't understand.

While I wait on my new tractor (FEL is being installed next week) I've been thinking about tires.
Right now it is coming with R1 Ag's. But since I plan many uses, FEL, box bladeing, some bushhogging and probaly look at a finish mower done the road.
Would R4's be a better choice?
Does any oneone know the price difference?
Ordered the skid steer hitch and a tooth bar so funds are getting low.

Thanks

Spock,

I'm ordering tomorrow morning - with R-4's, two different dealers said to add $650 for R-4's on 3430. I don't know if that is list or discounted.

I've been quoted an ~ $700 price difference for the R4s on the 3430 as well. The list price difference on both the 3130 and 3430 HST models is $866.

L3130 w/Ag - $16,370 L3130 w/R4 - $17,236
L3430 w/Ag - $17,570 L3430 w/R4 - $18,436

Thanks
Anybody have both R1 and R4?
I wonder if the $700 increase is worth it or not.
Less traction in the field vs less damage to yard.

Then again I did pay $800 for 3 more gross HP (L3130 over the L3430) but I would have always kicked myself if I didn't.

Still trying to make my mind up
