My ground has a weighted average of 67.8 corn suitability rating (CSR). The beans came in at 63.5 bushels.

How did yours do?

Not sure what that CSR number means, but my beans did very well this year.

For some reason, despite it being a somewhat warmer than average summer (though not to the extremes in other parts of the country), much of the garden ran late this year. For example, tomatoes are just starting to ripen now. Usually start getting them mid-late August.

Okay, my bad.

I am talking about soybeans in the field not the ones in our garden.

Short because lacked rain. Too much rain after pods were set. Field next to my property has many three bean pods. Still drying down,so no numbers.

63.5 bushells is good. It's still to early for us to really tell, but it won't be good. We have been really hot and dry since mid spring. Irrigated beans look fair, but dry land beans are pitiful.

I was talking to a good friend who is about 20 miles away. He has 2,300 areas of peanuts this year and said they look good. He has gotten more rain that we have this year.
