Just wondering, do they look for proof of income? I have a good credit score, but am self employed and don't have proof of income, and didn't make much the last couple years because I didn't want to look for work :)

And... I was told that there is a $250 fee, is this a standard, or do some dealers charge more/less? I don't trust much of what the salesman has told me after what I have learned here :(

I didn't have to pay a fee. I showed an income of about 60,000 and had to pay 4000. down on my purchase of 16000. My payments are 334. It will be paid off this coming june.

Most finance companies, and that is what Kubota Credit is, look at your credit score and payment history. Then the factor in your fixed expenses to see if you have the extra income to pay their loan without difficulty. They might ask for a few years tax returns since you are self employed.

A good credit score solves most any issue. I did not have to show any tax returns and did not pay any fee,s. That was in 04, and another purchase in 05. They might have changed the rules by now. But it is a real 0% offer, I asked the dealer if I paid cash how much could I save. He stated "same price if you pay now or take 3 years". Car companys offer 0% but will rebate 1K-3K if you don't take their "free money". Kubota is offering (much like their equipment) the real thing.

Never tell anyone you are self employed but dont lie.Tell them the name of the company you are an agent for and nothing more. This will eliminate all the tax bull and credit will be issued strictly on your credit score.I learned the hard way that you can be too honest.

Who all is self employed here?

1. What do you do, what kind of business do you have ??

2. Do you like what you do ?

3. How did you get started in your business ? Was this something you sought out and planned to do or was this something that sort of happened in time, like one thing leading to another ?

4. What are your likes and dislikes about your business ?? )</font>

1*Retired from owning my own housing company.

3*something that sort of happened in time, like one thing leading to another.

What am I to assume from these contradictory comments?
