- Yanmar YM2610 ■YANMAR GURU■ EXTRAORDINAIRE
OOOoops! I thought I'd replied but I don't see it here. 2nd try....
MDOrange, ya got me on the eyes/ Good one.
BMaverick, yes, I am fairly close (45 miles) to Fredricks and I have bought parts from them but my Yanmar is either unrestored or a very old restoration without converting to US specs. I've had it about ten years. It appears to not have had much use before I got it and until now, I've used it very lightly, mostly mowing. With the new place it is going to be getting more exercise than in the past, with a lot of mowing, tilling and lifting ahead.
Bummer it was a pre-restore. It may have been another company import going back farther.
The YM2000B isn't a common model either. By chance, on the engine plaque, what engine is in the tractor?
The YM2000, YM2000A, YM2000D all have the 2TR20-A engine. Does the B have the same thing? I know that the ending letter of D = 4x4. The YM2000 series is a bit on mystery altogether with the variations. It has the most variations overall.
The 2TR20-A engine may be the entry series 2-cly for the YMXX00 desgination such as YM1300 2TR13, YM1500 2TR15, YM1600 2TR16, YM1700 2TR17, YM1800 2TR18, YM1900 2TR19, YM2700 2TR27. I don't have enough info for any other 2-cly TR engines. Nor do I know if parts are interchangeable in the TR engine line.
Yanmar also did strange stuff with the last two number like 10 and 20. Not sure what those number mean either.
