3-Point Hitch How do I increase my hydraulic pressure on 1655 garden Tractor

I recently added a category 0 3 point to the rear of my 1655 garden tractor and dont really dont have the amount of lift I think I should. Can I increase the hydraulic pressure the hydro will put out?

Ah I fixed it! I looked at the parts diagram and seen where there are shim washers you can add to raise the pressure on the relief valve. It didn't have any on it so I added one 1/16" shim and it works great now. I can stand on my rear mount blade and it will raise me right up no problem( I way 215lb).

Just for your info the implement relief valve should be set at 900-1000 psi don't go any higher.What happens if it's set to high is that the rotor in the charge pump is driven by a small pin.Too much pressure and the pin will break and usually when that happens small pieces of metal score the pump etc: then it needs to be refaced.Ask me how I know.Larry

Yes, that is a good idea. They are only $20-much cheaper that hydraulic parts.
