The only 3pt implement I used before was a cat0 grader on an old Wheel Horse. It wasn't too hard to mount it, since I could move it around pretty easily. But now I'm mounting a box blade that's a bit hard to move with my hands, and I know that there must be a method of mounting 3pt implements, especially since some weigh 500+ pounds I'm sure.

I'm just trying to back in with the 3pt arms over the pins and then spread them out enough to get over the pins. Is there anything more to it than that?

Thanks

I agree with the milkman, I know when I mounted my bush hog the first time I thought I was going to have to get help to attach it. I bought Pat's and it makes it very easy to change implements. Best money you'll ever spend!!!!

I actually found the trick. It was to bring my 2 year old daughter out to "help" and explain each step that I was taking and why. This caused me to slow, deliberate, methodical, and patient. We got it on in next to no time. :D

I'll keep the quick change things in mind after I gauge how much I'll be using the 3pt hitch. Thanks y'all.

That must be great. Just the thought of my impliments inside on a concrete floor out of the weather and sliding on casters makes me a little happy inside.

Mine live outside in the weather and weeds. I have found that a 6ft railroad bar makes the fine adjustments when hooking up a little easier.

My first two tractors were manual steer, good upper body workout but hooking up to impliments was a huge chore. I found a nudge with the bar was equal to going forward and back 3 times. A three pound hammer is good for making fine adjustments.

Dollies, dollies, dollies.......and pavement. Ever see those Navy boys load up all those 2000 lb. bombs and missiles on a Tomcat or Hornet? They lock in place in seconds, like Legos. And they roll them into place on dollies.

I think that instead of getting dollies, I'll have to get another tractor. :D I'll get one that is dedicated to 3pt work and then I can leave my backhoe on and use that to suspend the implements above the ground.

Here are some pictures for the heck of it. Looking forward to trying out the blade tomorrow.
